RIVERBEND PARK

Public BBQ

Riverbend Park sits alongside the Tamar River and offers extensive family facilities across its large green space. The playground features multiple zones including a fenced area specifically for 2-5 year olds, climbing towers, swings, and a notably tall slide complex that attracts kids up to their early teens. The park includes 3-4 sheltered BBQ areas, each equipped with 2 barbecues plus tables, benches, and shade. Basketball courts and wide open spaces provide room for ball games and general play. A boardwalk runs along the flood levee, popular for walking and jogging. Toilets are regularly maintained, and good parking is available. The nearby Silos cafe offers coffee and food within walking distance. Dogs aren't permitted in the playground area but can be walked on the levee. The park can get icy on cold mornings. Painted rocks are sometimes hidden around the park for children to find.
